The Coffee


As with most coffees from Kenya they are known for their high quality and sweetness and this coffee is not different. The most notable flavour is the sweetness which is similar to Honey. This is followed by hints of caramel, apple, blackcurrant and citrus which allows for the refreshing acidity to linger on the palate for a wonderful aftertaste. The coffee has a juicy and light mouthfeel and is perfectly suited to be brewed as a pourover.

This coffee is from Iyego farmers coop washing station, funded by a charitable foundation through “global coffee village”. 

Kenya is one of the classic coffee-producing countries of East Africa, well-known for it’s the high quality of its coffees. Currently, the domestic coffee market is liberalizing, and new opportunities for producers are emerging.
